leon The Professional (1994) research 


Production:
Léon (with the screenwriter of Luc Bessons) to some extent an expansion of an idea in Besson's earlier film, Nikita (1990), in which Jean Reno played a similar character named Victor. Besson described Léon as Victors revenge driven cousin. The film was produced by Patrice Ledoux and directed also by Luc Besson with a $16 million budget. Luc Besson introduced 4 main famous stars including Jean Reno, Gary Oldman, Natalie Portman, Danny Aiello and 1 musician called Éric Serra.

Distribution:
Columbia Pictures & Gaumont Film Distributed Leon as a 15 and aimed the film at the male young adults. There was  5 trailers and 7 posters made  to promote it.  Leon didn't have many showing in the first month to make high demand and then the months after the first have people re-watching it. They made showing exclusivity with odeon in the united kingdom for the first 2months of the films release. 
 The film was released from the 14th to the 18th of November, depending on which area you lived in.

Exhibition 
The film got a Average Rating of 6.8/10.  48%want to see this film again  and 3610/7547 people who have never seen the film want to watch it. 3937/7547 said the would not like to watch it and the main reason being, not there type of movie. A Woolworth's review says 'a action movie with additional amount on thrill and keeps the audience second guessing all the way through. great film to watch and wonderful story to it. i would give it 9/10 as my overall rating'. Leon The Professional has been released on video, DVD and blue-ray DVD. Leon The Professional has made a gross revenue of $45,284,974.
